Oil pastel drawing of my Grandfather

First I grided the paper with one inch on the original and with two inches on the big paper. I then sketched the picture and started drawing it in with oil pastels.

I am so excited to announce that I am finished with my oil pastel drawing!! Took much time but I am now done and I think it turned out really good! The reference for this piece was a painting of my grandfather when he was in the Marines.

Flower mud painting

First I grided the paper with one inch on the original and with two inches on the big paper. I then sketched the picture and started drawing it in with oil pastels.
.After we chalked it we started painting it in with mud.

Almost finished product of the mud painting because Mr. Sands took the picture before it was done...

Value Scale Shading

I traced over the original photo with tracing paper- trying to find as many shapes as possible. Then I scetched the tracing on a scetch book peice of paper and filled in all of the shading.

Shadow art

We cut out paper and then projected a light through, this produced a shadow of a city being destroyed by a monster.

The closer to the light source the paper is, the bigger the image looks. This is one of the things we learned and used to our advantage in this project.
